About Geert
As a kid I lived in Brazil, Colombia and the Netherlands before completing my high school in Buenos Aires, Argentina. All in all a fantastic opportunity to see the beauty in the world and its people.
I studied Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology. My graduation project at Philips Electronics was on Environmental Benchmarking of Consumer Electronics. It showed me the strong (positive!) relation between environment and economics. Focussing on environmental issues (planet) can strengthen economic performance (profit). Years later the third element of the triple P concept was introduced to me: ‘people’. It suddenly made so much sense to me to have sustainability as my leitmotiv.
At Lucent Technologies the focus was on product marketing and technology integration solutions; At Willems & van den Wildenberg, an innovation consultancy, I stepped into the interesting world of renewable energy, innovation and subsidies; World Wide Recycling was all about international business development, financing and project development and at Ecofys I was able to work on my management skills and further perfecting my carbon market knowledge.
So my consecutive jobs allowed me to develop the skills set required to launch our own company Do-inc. ‘We do it and we do it together!’
